Johanna Birrell was awarded the Women in Transplantation Research Award for Projects in Gender and Sex and Solid Organ Transplantation amongst Indigenous Populations.
This grant funds research that improves understanding of the intersection between sex and/or gender and race and/or ethnicity (specifically for Indigenous populations) in the field of solid organ transplantation. It will aim to contribute to improving the equity, advocacy, and health in solid organ transplantation amongst Indigenous peoples globally.
